Project Fireflies Partners with the Lindner Center of Hope for the Holidays

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

Project Fireflies partnered with the Lindner Center of Hope and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center this holiday season by providing care packages to their adolescent inpatient unit.

16 care packages were delivered containing items that encourage communication and self expression to help the adolescents cope during the holiday season and beyond.

Jen Milau, APRN, PMHNP-BC, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the Lindner Center of Hope assisted Project Fireflies in selecting items to be included in the care packages. She developed the content of cards included in the packages that provide conversation starters and ideas to utilize music as therapy. The care packages also included items such as sketchbooks, journals, books and wireless speakers. We hope these care packages will provide hope and encouragement to the patients on the unit during a very difficult time.

Project Fireflies plans to expand the delivery of care packages to other adolescent residential facilities throughout the greater Cincinnati area in the future.
